iPad App: Hotels.com

This product was Hotels.com’s first entry into the tablet app market. Despite working with a third-party vendor for development, design was done almost completely in-house. My contributions:

  • Interviewed and evaluated application development vendors
  • Adapted existing customer journeys and design principles (created by me) to a mobile context
  • Commissioned ethnographic research to better understand the mobile and tablet context of use
  • Advised on application of human interface guidelines to product
  • Recommended app capabilities based on user context and in consideration of existing mobile web experience
  • Advised on embedded web purchase flow implementation to mitigate conversion risk
